Calm From Chaos
Sometimes it seems like people around us are effortlessly handling life's greatest challenges. They appear calm, composed, poised and confident, as if they have it all together.
Can I tell you a secret?
They don't. They aren't.
What we often don't see is the struggle that goes on behind the scenes. The turmoil, the pain, and the effort it takes to achieve that calm exterior you see took immense practice and rehearsal.
When someone appears to be handling life's challenges with ease, it's easy to assume that they have always been that way.
But the truth is, people often work hard to get to that point.
And more times than not it's because they have had to deal with some difficult people and situations before in their lives. Intense struggles. Overcoming obstacles. They pushed themselves to their limits. The calm exterior they present to the world might be a result of their hard work and determination. The struggle to achieve calmness can be a silent, lonely road. People might not always share their struggles with others, and instead, they might choose to face them alone. This can make it difficult for others to under the depth of their emotions and the effort it takes to manage them.
It's also worth considering that the calm exterior might not always be a reflections of what's going on inside. People might be hiding their true emotions, and the calmness might be a coping mechanism. This can be a way of dealing with the pressure and stresses of life, but it can also be a sign of the immense effort it takes to manage one's emotions.
The idea that someone's calm exterior might be a result of intense struggle can be a powerful reminder that everyone has their own battles to fight whether you see them or not.
We might not always see the struggles that others are facing, but that doesn't mean they're not there and that we shouldn't keep that in mind when interacting with them.
The calm exterior that someone presents to the world might be a testament to their strength and resilience. It might be a sign that they've worked hard to overcome their challenges and achieve a sense of peace and calm. By recognizing the effort that goes into achieving calmness, we can appreciate the beauty of the human spirit and the incredible things people can accomplish.
